Joanne Van Wie is defined by the Urban Dictionary as: “A map-maker of the collective unconscious, a ruler of the world simply on the grounds that she speaks in a form that is elegant; she does not fear blindness or abandonment”. Or at least she claims these braveries as a poet and writer. Joanne has been published over the years in Connectionsmagazine, and most recently has been featured in TEXTure, an Annapolis-based literary journal. Joanne has lived in St. Mary’s County MD for 20 years. She was born in upstate New York.
