Theresa Sise & Sweet Tea Jazz Trio
Irish Eyes Program
Join jazz vocalist Theresa Sise& Sweet Tea when they return to 49 West on Saturday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m. with a very special program called “Irish Eyes.” In celebration of her Irish roots, Sise has gathered songs from 1912 – 2013 from jazz, pop and traditional genres, along with music from the beloved film “Finian’s Rainbow.”
Hear favorites like “If This Isn’t Love,” re-energized by Cecile McLorin Salvant in 2013, and “No Envy, No Fear” by Josh Radin. Enjoy the humor of “Who Threw the Overalls in Mrs. Murphy’s Chowder?” and the nostalgic (and a wee bit corny), “Did Your Mother Come from Ireland?”
Theresa Sise is a popular vocalist in the regional jazz scene. She performed in big bands and combos throughout the region before forming Sweet Tea, a trio of well-respected Mid-Atlantic musicians with extensive performing and recording experience. Featuring pianist Darius Scott drummer Nick Costa and bassist Max Murray they’ve sold out multiple shows at 49 West and Cafe Mezzanotte, drawn hundreds of fans to their Avalon Theatre date and packed the first benefit concert for the Annapolis Jazz and Roots Festival
Seating is limited and a sellout is expected. Admission is $25. Make reservations now by calling 49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar & Gallery 410-626-9796
