DESCRIPTION:  \n STEVE ABSHIRE + STEVE HERBERMAN \nThis Saturday\, August 13th at 49 West\, we will feature another edition of “Dueling Guitars” – This time with STEVE ABSHIRE & STEVE HERBERMAN\, both on arch top electric guitars! Their new CD is entitled “BETWEEN FRIENDS” and is refreshing and intricate. We will hear lots of cuts from that recording\, but live!! (and live is always the best way to hear music!) These two have been friends for decades and both favor ballads and the Blues! Abshire is retired guitar chair of The Navy Commodores. His sold out concert last month with Jan Knutson was amazing! Herberman is a fantastic player and improviser who has taught for years at colleges in the DC and Baltimore areas. Come a little early for one of 49 West’s great salads\, home-made soups or quiche platters – then\, sit back and enjoy live jazz guitar at its best!
