The event is hosted by Annapolis Cafe Scientifique at 49 West. Mangroves\, or the forests of the sea\, are important environments for coastlines around the world. Their distinctive ability to survive in salty\, coastal water leads to a long list of irreplaceable ecosystem benefits. Mangroves stabilize the coast and protect it from storms\, provide food and habitat for fish\, and pull carbon dioxide out of the air to store it long-term.
