They have released 7 full-length albums and built a devoted following for their songwriting\, recordings\, and performances\, \nTheir latest release is an extraordinary collaboration with bestselling author Lee Child based on his iconic Jack Reacher character\, entitled Just the Clothes on My Back. They’ve been touring with the new album in 2019 with headline shows including City Winery in NYC and Nashville\, Firehouse Saloon in Houston\, The Hamilton Live in DC\, World Cafe Live in Philly\, Red Clay Theatre in Duluth\, and more. \nScott and Jen’s obvious joyous connection on stage and easy rapport with their audience are the hallmarks of their performance style; defined by their interwoven guitar work\, Jen’s instantly recognizable smoky\, vulnerable voice\, and Scott’s passionate\, impeccable lead guitar. \nOver the years they’ve developed a reputation for great songwriting as well; credits include cuts on Evangeline’s ‘French Quarter Moon’ Margaritaville / MCA\, Troy Turner’s single on Telarc Records\, and many many tracks in TV and film\, including Brooklyn South\, The Smokers and The Girl Next Door. \nNaked Blue has worked with a host of fine artists\, sharing stages with John Mayer\, Joe Cocker\, Dan Fogelberg\, and Aimee Mann\, to name a few. Scott and Jen’s Wood and Stone Room recording studio and Wood and Stone Songwriting Retreat have led to collaboration credits on songwriting Who’s Who including Todd Wright\, Jon Carroll\, Wyatt Easterling\, Anton Fig\, and more. \nABOUT STEPHEN CLAIR: stephenclair.com \n“Where The Wild Things Are meets The Kinks” — Nippertown \nStephen Clair is the go-to singer-songwriter for audiences who arrive hugging\, leave hugging\, and want to laugh through their tears\, and sing along. His songs tell us just how it is in his corner of the world\, and it’s a place in which we can’t help but see ourselves; while his playing “is like a masterclass in guitar accompaniment.” Just four months ago he released his 10th studio album\, which The Rocking Magpie quickly called “one of 2023’s most fearless and memorable.” \n“those who get it will fall helplessly in love… this is a wonderful album.”–Gonzookanagan \n“Seriously\, I couldn’t tell you the last time I listened to an album of just one guy playing by himself all the way through more than twice in a row\, and I’ve been listening to this one on repeat for over a week. One of 2023’s most fearless and memorable.” –The Rocking Magpie \n“spare tales with memorable words in small\, short stories that a listener can relate to…angst & tragedy add up to a provocative piece. Most grunge/punk bands can’t achieve this with a full band.” – Americana Highways \n“weird and wonderful” —V13 \n“elegant and bittersweet” –Medium \nClair first came to prominence when the late Rita Houston pronounced her love for “Jen in HerUnderwear\,” adding it to regular rotation on WFUV\, thereby putting Clair on the map and the road. His next effort was Under the Bed\, followed by What Luck (2007.) In 2019\, Clair teamed up with celebrated producer Malcolm Burn (U2 and Emmylou Harris)\, the result\, an epic garage album\, Strange Perfume. Paste Magazine declared “Clair’s lyrics are everyman poetry with a dash of self-deprecation and gallows humor to go with his otherwise uncluttered views of the world around and within him.”
