The band enjoyed popularity and perform ed overseas\, in NYC\, and throughout most of the east coast. Bob’s Big Band enjoyed great popularity on the East Coast\, playing venues like: Top of the Town; Cellar Door; Blues Alley; Wax Museum; Bethesda Blues and Jazz; Bethesda Cinema Drafthouse; Arties after Dark\, among many corporate\, charity\, and association events. Bob’s skills and the unique sound his Big Band was noted by the Ronald Reagan\, George Bush\, and Bill ClintonAdministrations\, where he was formally invited to perform at their Presidential Inaugurations Balls. As a musician Bob Israel has performed in concert with Nancy Wilson\, Stanley Turrentine\, Harry Connick\, Dizzy Gillespie\, Mary Wilson and Steve Allen. In addition to performing at Inaugural Balls he has performed for many corporate and associate events as an orchestra leader. The Washington Jazz Battalion Big Band was one of Washington’s finest and attracted crowds of over a thousand people a night. What is Reality? \n  \nPresenter: John Morrison  \nAbout the Presentation: When Stephen Hawking wrote a paper on what is now known as ‘Hawking radiation\,’ he said the black hole phenomenon creates an information paradox that strikes at the heart of physics. Either General Relativity is wrong\, or Quantum Theory is wrong\, or both are wrong. Angst-ridden physicists are now trying to fix the problem by changing how we think about reality. \nAbout the Speaker: John Morrison has an advanced degree in Command\, Control\, and Communications from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. His last job in the Air Force was Director of System Engineering and Development for the National Test Bed\, a supercomputer facility for high fidelity modeling of ballistic missile defense solutions. Following his Air Force career\, he founded three IT-related companies. In the last eight years\, he worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation and Samsung Research America. He has been awarded five patents and has two patents pending in the area of cybersecurity. He is now retired. The foods we eat can either support our bodies’ ability to heal or impair it. By understanding the basic processes of the body’s physiological response to stresses\, we can better identify which foods are supportive. Inflammation serves an important function in the healing process.  However\, when inflammation becomes chronic as in arthritis\, cardio vascular disease\, irritable bowel syndrome\, high blood pressure\, or asthma\, it can be debilitating. Please write down any special requests or ask the sound engineer if you have any questions or special needs. \nHow long or many songs can I/we play?\nAt this time\, we’re offering each performer a 10-minute set (two long songs\, or three short songs) and few minutes for setup.
