Historical impact of Hurricanes on US mainland.\nAbout the Speaker: Dr. Avichal Mehra has over 25 years of experience leading and performing scientific development and research in the areas of operational forecasting\, including stand-alone global oceans models\, coupled atmosphere-land-ocean-wave models\, coupled Hurricane models\, numerical analysis\, model diagnostics\, and analyzing and interpreting geophysical data and model results.\nHe serves as the Deputy Director of the Ocean Prediction Center of NOAA’s National Weather Service.
