Armed with a program that ranges from reimagined Duke Ellington favorites\, to pop covers\, to cutting-edge originals\, Antoniuk and the band are poised for a memorable night in a rare Annapolis-area appearance. Among the evening’s highlights will be “Isfahan” (from Duke’s Far East Suite)\, showcasing the special interaction between Antoniuk and his pianist\, Wade Beach. This arrangement\, which appears on Antoniuk’s highly acclaimed second album\, Brotherhood\, was praised recently by Bill Milkowski of Jazz Times.
