We will discuss this annual review for the recent past and present data for 2022\, which shows an improvement in water quality. The Magothy River Association is an all-volunteer group of residents who have worked on aquatic grass restoration as well as oyster reef restoration and we will look at these efforts. For the past ten years we have been involved with the study of the yellow perch population in the river\, documenting annual spawning events which produce egg sacs as well as seining for larval fish downstream from the spawning grounds. The MRA contends that this population is sustainable in the Magothy while the MD Dept of Natural Resources does not concur.
