DESCRIPTION:  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nChuck Redd \nChuck Redd is well known internationally as a performer on drums and vibraphone. Chuck began recording and touring the globe when he joined the Charlie Byrd Trio at the age of 21. He also became a member of the Great Guitars (Barney Kessel\, Byrd and Herb Ellis.) To his credit are 25 European tours and six tours of Japan\, with the Barney Kessel Trio\, Ken Peplowski and the Benny Goodman Tribute Orchestra\, Terry Gibbs and Conte Candoli. He served as Artist-In-Residence at The Smithsonian Jazz Café in Washington\, DC from 2004-2008. \n  \nDonato Soviero \nDonato Soviero has been working in and around the DC area for twenty years as a performer. Noted for his superb artistry as a guitarist and composer\, Donato’s versatility affords him equal comfort in many venues\, both as bandleader and sideman. While his roots are firmly planted in the tradition of mainstream jazz\, his scope of musical interest is nonetheless wide. As composer and arranger\, these influences can often be heard shaping his own unique voice.\nAs a teenager\, Donato’s inspiration to play the guitar came from Wes Montgomery\, and Jimi Hendrix. Later\, Joe Pass\, Howard Roberts\, and Emily Remler were among his teachers. A resident of the Washington D.C. area since 1982\, Donato has appeared with top local and national artists\, as well as leading many of his own groups in the United States\, Europe and the Caribbean. \nWe only have 40 seats\, so call now to reserve your place!

Fidyk has earned national and international acclaim as a performer\, author\, and educator. He is a member of The Army Blues Big Band\, the Jazz Studies faculty at Temple University\, Philadelphia\, PA.\, and a contributing columnist for Modern Drummer Magazine. He has performed and recorded with Wayne Bergeron\, John Clayton\, Wycliffe Gordon\, Tim Hagans\, Slide Hampton\, Maureen McGovern\, James Moody\, New York Voices\, Dick Oates\, Arturo Sandoval\, Doc Severinsen\, Terell Stafford\, Tim Warfield\, and Bill Watrous. On tour with Maureen McGovern\, Fidyk has performed with orchestras throughout the country\, including The Cincinnati Pops\, Spokane Symphony\, Nashville Symphony\, Plano Symphony\, The Baltimore Symphony\, The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra\, and the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon. His discography as a leader/co-leader includes: Big Kids (U.S. Roots)\, A Perfect Match (Write Groove)\, and Live at Blues Alley (OA2). Fidyk can also be heard on over 100 recordings as a contributing artist.

No cover\, just walk on in\, seat yourself. – we’re in the front room. \nJenn Byrne is the foundation of the group\, playing the upright bass\, and doing the Lion’s share of the singing. Jenn has an enigmatic and versitile voice\, which is capable of a wide variety of styles. In addition to The Befuddlers Jenn can be seen around town with her other group\, the Hypnotic Panties. She also has a band with her brother Jeremy\, and father Pete which is called Crosstown. \nLarry Byrne is a multi-instumentalist and singer\, and lays down the rhythm on acoustic guitar with The Befuddlers. Larry sits on the board of AMFM\, a charity organization for musicians based in Annapolis. He can be seen playing with many local groups at AMFM fundraisers. Larry also plays with the local funk group\, Higher Hands\, playing the keyboards and supplying left hand bass. He also loves to join the Hypnotic Panties whenever possible! \nPete Reichwein is the father of Jenn\, and the Dobro player in the group. Pete has been a fixture in the Bluegrass community for decades\, but is also an extremely diverse musician with a good knowledge of many different styles of music.\nNo Cover Charge

Her musical inspirations come primarily from the eclectic mix of music to which she was exposed while growing up in the musically diverse culture of Washington\, D.C. \nIn 2009\, Karyn moved to a town called Boring\, MD with a broken heart and a cheap guitar. It was from this place that she created her first solo album\, Red Dress\, that earned her Kerrville New Folk Finalist and Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist in 2011\, as well as 2010 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest winner. In 2011\, Oliver moved to New York City\, with a renewed heart and a better guitar.
