She is a creativity scholar and educator recognized for increasing academic success and motivating educational change. She received a bachelor’s degree in music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania\, a master’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee\, and a doctorate in educational leadership and management from Drexel University. Dr. Schmitz has over 25 years of experience in education and professional development. In addition\, she is an Associate Researcher with ELaBS\, the Education\, Learning\, and Brain Research Collaborative at Drexel University’s School of Education and author of creativity lessons for Drexel University’s Freddie Reisman Center for Translational Research in Creativity and Motivation.
