No cover\, just walk on in\, seat yourself. – we’re in the front room. \nJenn Byrne is the foundation of the group\, playing the upright bass\, and doing the Lion’s share of the singing. Jenn has an enigmatic and versitile voice\, which is capable of a wide variety of styles. In addition to The Befuddlers Jenn can be seen around town with her other group\, the Hypnotic Panties. She also has a band with her brother Jeremy\, and father Pete which is called Crosstown. \nLarry Byrne is a multi-instumentalist and singer\, and lays down the rhythm on acoustic guitar with The Befuddlers. Larry sits on the board of AMFM\, a charity organization for musicians based in Annapolis. He can be seen playing with many local groups at AMFM fundraisers. Larry also plays with the local funk group\, Higher Hands\, playing the keyboards and supplying left hand bass. He also loves to join the Hypnotic Panties whenever possible! \nPete Reichwein is the father of Jenn\, and the Dobro player in the group. Pete has been a fixture in the Bluegrass community for decades\, but is also an extremely diverse musician with a good knowledge of many different styles of music.\nNo Cover Charge

DESCRIPTION:COME JOIN US FOR HAPPY HOUR 5-7PM!! \n \nBob originally made his mark as the founder\, orchestra leader and principal trombonist of the Washington Jazz Battalion\, a 16-piece Big Band\, formed in 1976. The band enjoyed popularity and perform ed overseas\, in NYC\, and throughout most of the east coast. Bob’s Big Band enjoyed great popularity on the East Coast\, playing venues like: Top of the Town; Cellar Door; Blues Alley; Wax Museum; Bethesda Blues and Jazz; Bethesda Cinema Drafthouse; Arties after Dark\, among many corporate\, charity\, and association events. Bob’s skills and the unique sound his Big Band was noted by the Ronald Reagan\, George Bush\, and Bill ClintonAdministrations\, where he was formally invited to perform at their Presidential Inaugurations Balls. As a musician Bob Israel has performed in concert with Nancy Wilson\, Stanley Turrentine\, Harry Connick\, Dizzy Gillespie\, Mary Wilson and Steve Allen. In addition to performing at Inaugural Balls he has performed for many corporate and associate events as an orchestra leader. The Washington Jazz Battalion Big Band was one of Washington’s finest and attracted crowds of over a thousand people a night. Titan’s temperature is so cold (94 K or -180˚C) that it has liquid methane lakes. However\, Titan is a surprisingly ideal destination to study what makes a planet or moon habitable and what chemical processes can lead to the development of life.  This talk will present the case for an extensive exploration of Titan’s surface using a relocatable lander that can fly from one surface location to another. This Dragonfly mission concept would allow an investigation of Titan’s pre-biotic surface chemistry as well as a search for signatures of potential water-based or even hydrocarbon-based life. \n  \nAbout the Speaker: Dr. Ann Parsons received a BS in Physics from the University of Michigan and a Ph.D also in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley.  She has been an astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt MD\, for over 20 years\, starting her career with the study of gamma ray bursts in the early universe and more recently focusing on the development of scientific instrumentation used to study the composition of planets in our own solar system. \nAnd on February 28 at 6:15pm\, Kateri Payne\, MS\, CPT and Clinical Nutritionist\, Intern will present a talk on Inflammation and Nutrition.  More on this talk soon. \n  \nCheers! \nTracy Gill and Andy Loftus
