Scott recently retired from his 40th year of practicing family medicine in Annapolis. He was the distance running coach at Annapolis High School for 13 years. He built a loyal following touring the college circuit extensively between 2000 and 2003\, after which he released two albums on Columbia Records\, Someone To Tell (2004) and The Break-In (2007) all the while touring both in the U.S. and abroad with artists such as Martin Sexton\, Suzanne Vega\, and Ani Difranco. \nIn 2008\, Ari wrote\, recorded and released a new song every Monday in his 52 project\, and released Twelve Mondays in 2009\, a collection of re-mixed fan favorites from 52. From 2010-2016\, Ari continued to tour relentlessly and released four other LP’s: Sunset Over Hope Street(2011)\, The Fire Plays(2012)\, Shouts And Whispers(2015)\, and the grammy nominated Silver Skies Blue(2017)\, a duets album with Judy Collins.  \nMany of Ari’s songs have appeared on TV and film – The Path\, The Lincoln Lawyer\, Private Practice\, Army Wives\, and One Tree Hill to name a few.  \nAri began writing\, recording and releasing a song every two weeks through his Patreon page in early 2022 and continues to do so today.  \nSilver Skies Blue is an album by Judy Collins and Ari Hest. Released in 2016\, it earned them a Grammy Award nomination for Best Folk Album\, Hest’s first and Collins’ first nomination in 40 years. Of the album’s 12 tracks\, 8 were co-written by Collins and Hest. \nHe released two albums of Patreon subscriber favorites in the spring of 2024 entitled The Treehouse Project – Year One and Year Two respectively.

DESCRIPTION:Anthony’s Bio: \nAnthony Frijia has mastered the art of creating live shows that feel more like intimate conversations than performances.\nRecently voted “Baltimore’s Best Local Artist” in the Baltimore Reader’s Poll\, he knows it’s these intimate conversations to which he owes all of his success as an artist. \nFusing folk\, blues\, and country influences\, Frijia’s lyrically-driven songwriting has captivated audiences in the Mid-Atlantic\, and across the country as a touring artist\, drawing comparisons to Bob Dylan\, Tyler Childers\, and John Mayer. His knack for storytelling and a great lyric have never been more evident than on his most-recent  studio release\, “The Artifacts of Letting Go”\, an 11-track Nomadic Americana record streaming everywhere and now available on vinyl. \nMine: \nDanah Denice (she/they) is a 27 year-old singer-songwriter from Stevensville\, MD. With a classical background in piano\, and a folk background in guitar\, she’s been compared to artists such as Carole King\, Fiona Apple\, and Joni Mitchell. Her raw and powerful vocal delivery\, coupled with her pensive and heartfelt lyricism\, has built her a loyal following in the greater Annapolis\, Eastern Shore\, and Baltimore areas.  \nShe’s collaborated with numerous artists in the DMV—both live and in studio\, as a session musician + writer. Her first solo EP\, “Light From a Dark Room” was released on 2/2/24\, and she sold out both nights of her record release show in Annapolis to commemorate the release. The EP debuted at #7 (most downloaded) and #13 (most played) on the NACC’s College Radio Charts\, and debuted on the AMA Americana Charts at #156. The music video for her single\, “To Say Goodbye” has already accrued 65k views on YouTube — and the EP is spinning on over 60 radio stations (and counting) across the US.  \nShe is also one of the founders of The Songbird Collective — an Annapolis-based music and arts collective\, that focuses on creating community amongst women and non-binary musicians\, vendors\, and visual artists — including a monthly songwriter showcase right here at 49 West. Their annual Songbird Festival had nearly 1000 attendees this past April. In June of 2024\, the Collective officially gained nonprofit status thru being absorbed by AMFM: The Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians.
