He is the bassist for Country Current\, the United States Navy Band’s officially sanctioned Country and Bluegrass music group.\nDanny is also the owner of Turtle Hill Banjo Company\, a local business in Annapolis dedicated to providing excellent new and vintage banjos at affordable prices.\nSarah Larsen is a multi-faceted teacher & musician. Originally from ​Wisconsin\, she grew up playing classical music with her pianist ​mother and sister. She can be spotted on stage with Geraldine (original old-time from Baltimore)\, the Black-Eyed Suzies (all-female MD Bluegrass)\, and frequently performs with members of Dean Crawford/Dunns River\, the Dirty Grass Players\, and more artists from Philly to Richmond.\nRefusing to be defined by labels or genres\, Sarah is equally at home ​in a jazz jam\, a bluegrass pick\, or an orchestral setting. Beyond her 18-years-long career as a vocal coach\, Jeanette has had the privilege of co-producing and songwriting with many local artists in Baltimore and Annapolis\, MD.  \nAdditionally\, she is a sought-after and versatile studio session vocalist lending lead and background vocals to various projects for respected musicians and production studios in the local area and far beyond. Jeanette is honored to serve the incredible music community of Annapolis as a board member of AMFM\, the Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians (am-fm.org). She is also the owner and founder of Mastery Music and Arts; an inclusive arts program that provides private music lessons and group art and music classes for children\, teens\, and adults with and without disabilities. \nMore about Danah: \nDanah Denice (she/they) is a 27 year-old singer-songwriter from Stevensville\, MD. With a classical background in piano\, and a folk background in guitar\, she’s been compared to artists such as Carole King\, Fiona Apple\, and Joni Mitchell. Her raw and powerful vocal delivery\, coupled with her pensive and heartfelt lyricism\, has built her a loyal following in the greater Annapolis\, Eastern Shore\, and Baltimore areas.\nShe’s collaborated with numerous artists in the DMV—both live and in studio\, as a session musician + writer. Her first solo EP\, “Light From a Dark Room” was released on 2/2/24\, and she sold out both nights of her record release show in Annapolis to commemorate the release. The EP debuted at #7 (most downloaded) and #13 (most played) on the NACC’s College Radio Charts\, peaking on the AMA Americana Charts at #139 and hanging on for 11 weeks. The music video for her single\, “To Say Goodbye” has already accrued 66k views on YouTube — and the EP is spinning on over 110 radio stations (and counting) across the US.  \nShe is also one of the founders of The Songbird Collective — an Annapolis-based music and arts collective\, that focuses on creating community amongst women and non-binary musicians\, vendors\, and visual artists. DESCRIPTION:JUSTIN LEES- GUITAR \nJUSTIN LEES JAZZ GUITAR BIO\nJustin Lees started playing professionally in the late 70’s and studied with several guitarists including Rick Whitehead\, Paul Bollenbach\, Danny Gatton\, Herb Ellis and Emily Remler.
\nJustin’s main focus is on a straight ahead approach to jazz steeped in the fifties tradition of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie and rooted in the styles of Charlie Christian and T Bone Walker. The feeling of Swing and the Blues is a constant. He has worked with Ron Holloway\, Dick Morgan\, Keeter Betts\, and others. He worked 8 months on Monday nights in 1996 with his own trio at the One Step Down\, Washington D.C.’s premier Jazz club\, until it’s closing. He performed at Blues Alley\, 219 Club\, and Constitution Hall plus.
\n
\nPast performances include opening for Nina Simone as a member of the Ron Holloway Group at Constitution Hall \nAARON CLAY-BASS \nAaron Clay commands great respect as a performer in both the classical and jazz worlds of bass playing.\nIn 1989\, he was selected to join the United States Navy Band in Washington\, DC. Upon completing one enlistment with the Navy\, Mr. Clay auditioned for “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band where he has been a member since 1993.\nMr. Clay serves as Principal Bassist of the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra. \nDOMINIC SMITH-DRUMS \nMaryland-raised drummer Dominic Smith has been a fixture on the local jazz scene for more than 20 years. His hard swinging style\, use of dynamics and innovative rhythmic subtleties have been utilized by such jazz notables as Harold Mabern\, James Williams\, Charlie Byrd\, Phil Woods\, Gary Thomas\,to name a few.\nDominic rounds out his playing schedule with the cream of the crop of local musicians several nights a week\, as well as backing up many different national artists\, performing more than 320 gigs a year\, while still finding time to fit in students at his home teaching studio.
\nHe has also studied with Kenny Washington\, Marvin “Smitty” Smith\, Ralph Peterson\, and others. His local drum guru was the late\, great\, genius drummer Mike Smith.
