Blending Acoustic Roots with a Mission to Inspire
Residing in Annapolis, Maryland, Doug Segree has been performing for over 30 years, playing in venues of all sizes, festivals, concerts, corporate and private events throughout the country. He is equally comfortable playing solo acoustic shows or fronting a band of any size. The event band is all about a good time on stage, and it shows. With a huge playlist to draw from (Top 40, Classic Rock, Funk, Motown, 80s, etc.) and multiple lead singers, these guys know how to mix it up and play to their audience.
His music is a blend of acoustic, rock, and pop influences, with a focus on heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies. Doug has written and recorded 10 albums of original music, spanning rock, pop, and children’s music. He is currently supporting his latest album release, Keep Looking Up. He also writes and performs in the kids’ band, SQRRL!
Doug’s music has appeared on major network television and film. Wonder Drug appeared on Netflix’s All American, Come Again on ABC’s Cougar Town, It’s About Time on TNT’s Rizzoli and Isles, and various songs on Cinemax (various films) and WB’s Felicity, among others. Doug has also written many jingles for area businesses and commercials.
He is also known for his philanthropic contributions and donates his time and services to important causes. He launched a project called SQRRL! Across America, which aims to bring music to children who are disadvantaged by illness and disability. He donates his time and services to important causes such as Annapolis Musicians Funding Musicians (AMFM), Celebrate Hope Foundation, Friends Foundation, Kennedy Krieger Institute, Make A Wish Foundation, Breast Cancer Foundation, and the SPCA. His music was used as the soundtrack for Hope Through Motion, a documentary produced by DHG Creative for the Kennedy Krieger Institute Spine Center.
