Echoing the likes of fun. and Jason Mraz, and with a voice like Sam Smith, Jin appeals to the deepest part of our souls that tender, vulnerable side we too often build walls around. -Atwood Magazine

“Jae Jin has a way of crafting melodies that immediately take you on his journey as if you’re watching every lyric play out in real-time. His big presence, good-natured heart, and a strong force of soulful positivity are heard in each note. If you’re not listening, you’re missing out.” -John Lennon Songwriting Contest

Jae Jin is an independent global recording artist, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actor (SAG-AFTRA), & storyteller from Baltimore, MD. He has self-released 3 full-length albums of original music for which he has received GRAMMY consideration, numerous accolades, and songwriting awards (including the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Award and 1st place in the International Songwriting Competition). He has performed nearly 600 concerts in 136 cities globally. DC natives and multi-instrumentalists and singer-songwriters Maureen Andary and Sara Curtin have known each other for a long time and it shows. When you hear them perform as The Sweater Set, it feels like you are experiencing a sweet musical destiny.

Not only do their voices complement each other perfectly, but their songs are also as real as it gets without ever trying too hard. They sing about love, loss, and life’s nuances in relatable ways.

They know how to weave songs and lyrics in a way that gently holds you by the hand like a friend would, but without making things awkward. They make you feel less alone, more “got.” It’s a gift.

The Sweater Set will pluck at your heartstrings with “an intimidating number of instruments,” (Washington Post) and soaring soprano-alto harmonies.

Listeners are invited into Sara Curtin & Maureen Andary’s joyful friendship as they sing about loves lost and found. Brightest Young Things calls them D.C.s most endearing duo,” claiming their attraction to them was instant and inescapable.”

The Sweater set one DC Wammie Award for Best Folk Group in 2021.
