Carol Jennings is an attorney. She served in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, and has also worked for the United Nations and the American Civil Liberties Union. Her poems have appeared in a number of journals, including The New York Quarterly, Chautauqua, The Broadkill Review, Innisfree Poetry Journal, Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Oberon, Potomac Review, Medical Literary Messenger, and Loch Raven Review, as well as in three anthologies. Two of her poems have won awards at The Chautauqua Institution. She is now retired and lives in Washington, DC and devotes her time to poetry and the piano.

Bonnie Narazday leads poetry workshops at the Washington, DC Jail, Miriam’s Kitchen (a day shelter for the homeless), and Ingleside Independent Living facility at Rock Creek Park in Washington DC. Her poems have appeared in Poet Lore, Delmarva Review, Passager, Pinch, The Guardian, The Seminary Ridge Review, Istoria, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and other publications. Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, and in 2011 the New Orleans MFA Program awarded her a prizein the form of a month’s stay that summer with Ezra Pound’s daughter in her castle in northern Italy.

PARK FOR FREE in the Anne Arundel County employees’ garage at 19 St. John’s St. (GPS/Mapquest the address)
The garage is OPEN AND FREE on the weekends. It is about a five-minute walk from the 49 West Coffeehouse.

The garage is right across from the St. John’s College auditorium. Turn on to St. John’s St. off of College Ave., OR come straight down Rowe Blvd. from Rt. 50, then turn left at the light at Calvert St., and then left on St. John St. Here’s a link with the St. John’s St. garage’s location and the walking route to 49 West Cafe.
