Trekkie Jones Returns to 49 West

Last year, September, 2015, Ren Rick, front woman for Annapolis-based rock band, Trekkie Jones, was diagnosed and treated for a brain aneurysm, and underwent a life-saving craniotomy (open brain surgery). In honor of Brain Aneurysm Awareness, during the month of September, Ren & Trekkie Jones have decided to have a concert to celebrate her one year post-craniotomy “annie-versary”; help raise awareness; and instill confidence that with the right treatment, people can survive such complicated conditions as brain aneurysm and traumatic brain injuries, and continue to enjoy full lives.
Trekkie Jones will be joined on stage by the Foolish Immortals, and a few other special musical guests, including Kelley Locklear-Jacobs.
Dave Ziebarth, Ben French and Steve Miller are Foolish Immortals – a blend of classic rock, bluegrass and beach country. The band features some nice three-part harmonies and some great picking on both guitar and dobro (slide guitar). Dave ZIebarth dedicates this performance to his cousin Mike Corbey who is currently recovering from a brain aneurysm.
