Bio for Sue Matthews and Robert Redd: The American Songbook

Robert Redd travels worldwide as the pianist for the Duke Ellington Orchestra. He also is the pianist and leader of the Wolf Trap Jazz Trio and formally the pianist and musical director for singer/songwriter Kenny Rankin.

Sue Matthews is a superb singer with a silky voice, exquisite phrasing and passion for finding every bit of meaning in a song. She has been releasing recordings and traveling worldwide to perform with combos to orchestras for over 30 years.

For a number of years, Sue and Robert have been celebrating the composers, lyricists and performers whose works are found in our Great American Songbook with shows that have garnered the attention of audiences and critics alike.
